Using NOAA's Network, Maxon's WX80 is your best protection against potentially dangerous weather, natural disasters, and other hazardous situations. NO HOME SHOULD BE WITHOUT ONE.
The TruTalk WX-80 uses S.A.M.E. (Specific Area
Message Encoding) weather information and a system
of programmable geographic codes to allow you to hear
weather statements, watches and warnings occuring
in a chosen county or group of counties.
These National Weather Service broadcasts will allow
your family, group, club, classmates or associates to
be more aware of changing local weather conditions -
anytime night or day.

• S.A.M.E. Provides 15 programmable geographic codes which
allow the WX-80 to hear weather broadcasts specific to your area
• Receives National Weather Service broadcasts on one or more
of 7 frequencies from within a 50 mile radius of your local NWS transmitter
• Selectable alert modes allow you to choose the type of warning
you wish to receive - and filter those you do not
• AC Powered, 9V alkaline battery backup (battery not included)
• 8-Character LCD shows specific emergency messages of TORNADO
WATCH, FLOOD WARNING, etc.
